Written last night, posted between panic projects.
Status of life, plenty to report, and nothing of substance.
I've plans, oh yes, and big things in the works, but I'm having a lot of trouble pointing to things and saying "See that? That there? That's the awesome I'm currently creating." This is partly because I've temporarily lost access to a digital camera. It's really hard to post photographs of an ongoing project when you can't take photographs.
Until I can actually ~post~ something awesome, you'll just have to settle for reading about it.

So, what've I been up to?
Project Work:
Work on the new version of the projector continues apace. It's turning out, if I may say so, totally freaking awesome. No seriously. You have no idea (please ignore that your lack of an idea comes from my inability to post photos of the work). I removed the wiring ~again~ this weekend, and I can only hope it won't take too long to reinstall. I had to though, because it'd be impossible to work on the various parts of the case with the wiring in place.
The case is 90% done. If I'm lucky, we'll see some of that lingering 10% knocked out tonight. Then it's on to the lingering design/construction concerns. I've learned better than to estimate the completion of a project, but it's nice to see some progress.
Writing:
I'm pissing off my muse something fierce by writing this right now. I'm on the metro ride home. That's ~her~ time, and I'm not supposed to write other things while I'm on ~her~ time.
I'm right in the thick of the big climactic sequence of the book, I can see the end in sight, but the story is absolutely crawling and getting the scenes out is torturous . This is the result of a domino effect:
The writing is slow - Because I don't know where I'm going. I can't quite see the scene in my head, and I NEED that if I'm going to write something effective.
This is caused by - Song lyrics mostly. I'm currently trapped inside a maze of MC Frontalot songs that occupy my head whenever I try to think about story.
This is caused by - A lack of sleep. My writing quality is inversely proportional to the amount of sleep I get. The less sleep, the suckier the writing. Memes and songs get into my brain. I doze (heck I dozed while writing this) and I don't think about where I'm going. I need to fix that.
The small stuff:
There's a thousand tiny projects which never add up to enough to warrant a post. Some of them are kind of funny or interesting. I need to aggrigate them. Expect a post, at some point, about dressers, and vaccum cleaners, and work for William Penn House, and my thoughts on the Tomato Firmware (with associated thoughts about open source software). There's some mildly neat stuff about tea, and I never did talk about my laptop, how I fixed it's screen, or how ridiculously Anime I am when I go in to work in the mornings.
Anyway, here's my stop. More when I have it.
